In fall of 2020, HillSprings will return to our signature half-day, small group intervention programs.
HillSprings Academy now offers a virtual version of its signature half-day, small-group intervention programs with online access available either from home or from HillSprings Academy’s campus.
Limited slots for in-person, teacher-led classes in the Morning and After-School Programs are available for students who prefer a traditional classroom environment. |
Welcome to HillSprings Academy

READING • WRITING • MATH
Every academic program at HillSprings Academy provides individualized instruction to struggling students in grades 1-8. HillSprings uses Orton-Gillingham based, multisensory instruction in highly structured onsite and/or online environments. Students are grouped in small classes of no more than four students per teacher where academic skills can be taught to mastery. Instruction focuses on strengthening the foundational weaknesses found in reading, written language, and mathematics. Teachers assist each individual in realizing his or her potential by developing strengths, addressing challenges, and providing successful experiences at the student’s functional level.

While our Orton-Gillingham based methodology was designed specifically for dyslexia and ADHD, HillSprings believes in extending its reach to a wider variety of learners who may benefit.
HillSprings Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin or sexual orientation to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin or sexual orientation in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and other school-administered programs.
Our Programs
A variety of scheduling and program delivery options enable each family to choose the intensity level, subject matter, and learning environment specifically suited to their child.
Morning Program
The Morning Program is our “flagship program” and our most intensive intervention. Students attend classes for 3 hours per day, 5 days per week. |
Mid-Day Program
The Mid-Day Program is ideal for students needing a less intensive weekly schedule. Classes meet for 3 hours per session, 2 days per week. Double enrollment is available for families who desire a 4-day per week schedule. |
After-School Program
The After-School Program delivers 90 minutes per session of targeted intervention for students needing assistance in one of the three subject areas (reading, writing, OR math). Classes meet 2 days per week. Double enrollment is available for students desiring intervention in more than one subject. |
Summer Program
The Summer Program meets 3 hours per day, 5 days per week for 5 weeks. Many families begin their experience at HillSprings Academy by enrolling in the Summer Program, and then go on to enroll in the Morning or Mid-Day Program in the fall. |
