The Reading Achievement Program (RAP) is held two days a week for one hour sessions for one semester. Student teacher ratio is 3:1. This program is an adapted version of the highly successful, researched based approach to teaching reading developed by The Hill Center. Specifically created as a tutoring model for students who are experiencing reading difficulties, this program focuses on phonological awareness, word attack, sight words, fluency, comprehension and spelling. Students are pre and post tested and parents have two conferences as well as a written summary of final performance. Tuition is $900 for 30 sessions.
